For clinics, practices and med spas

How to vet a peptide supplier before the first purchase order.

A new supplier is a liability until proven otherwise, and the proof is paperwork, not promises. This checklist covers the documents to demand, the answers that separate real operations from resellers, and how to compare pre-vetted suppliers free.

The checklist

Six things a verifiable supplier always provides

  1. Legal entity and addressA registered business name, a real facility address, and a named person who answers. A supplier that exists only as a website and a chat handle is not vetted.
  2. Lot-matched testingA Certificate of Analysis for the exact lot you would receive, from an independent third-party lab, dated and recent. A generic sample COA is marketing.
  3. Methods on paperHPLC for purity and quantification, mass spectrometry for identity, named on the report. Reagent-strip kits do not measure purity.
  4. Terms in writingPrice tiers, minimums, shipping, lead times, and the remake or refund policy for a failed lot. A verbal quote is not terms.
  5. Tenure and referencesHow long they have operated and who already buys from them. Months in business is a fact, not a vibe.
  6. Intended-use clarityA supplier that blurs research-use material toward patient use is a compliance problem looking for a buyer. Clean suppliers keep that line bright.

Red flags

What a bad supplier looks like

Prices far under the market with no lot paperwork. COAs that recycle the same dates or lab letterhead across products. Pressure to prepay before documents arrive. A claimed pharmacy that cannot name its state license. Any one of these might be survivable; two together is a pattern.

The counter is boring and effective: documents first, money second. A supplier that will not send paperwork before payment will not send it after either.

How it works

Pre-vetted suppliers, one comparison

Tell us what you buy and roughly how much. We match your list against suppliers whose paperwork we have already checked - lot testing, terms in writing, entity verified - so the checklist above takes minutes instead of weeks. You buy directly from whichever supplier you select.

Every pharmacy order ships with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) - batch documentation for what is in every preparation.
Behind every pharmacy order: every batch is tested by an independent lab and does not ship until it passes. Tests include pH, endotoxins and impurities. The pharmacy is inspected every six months.
Do not submit patient names, dates of birth, prescriptions or medical records through the quote form. None of it is needed to price.

Who this checklist is for - and who it is not

This checklist is for clinics, medical practices and med spas evaluating a new professional supplier or re-vetting a current one after a price or quality surprise. Patient-specific preparations against valid prescriptions belong to the 503A pharmacy route, which carries its own audit framework. Research-use materials are never for human or patient use.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the single most important document?

A lot-matched Certificate of Analysis from an independent lab for the exact lot you would receive. Everything else is secondary.

Are reagent test kits enough?

No. Reagent kits react to compound classes; they do not measure purity or confirm identity. HPLC quantifies, mass spectrometry confirms.

How recent should testing be?

Per lot, dated, and current. A supplier shipping new lots against old reports is not testing.

What if a supplier refuses paperwork before payment?

Walk. Documents before money is the only order that protects you.

What does the comparison cost my facility?

Nothing. You buy directly from whichever supplier you choose.
